Youth Innovation Competition on Global Governance (YICGG), Shanghai, 14-21 July 2018

YICGG was launched by Fudan University in 2007. It is sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and is organized by the School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA) at Fudan University. It brings together hundreds of top students from more than 81 countries and regions to present their ideas to established researchers. The theme for YICGG 2018 was ‘Rural Revitalization: Green Development, Innovation and Sharing Economy.’

Akira Limtakul and Dawa Zam, top students from our IPED program, travelled to Shaghai to participate in YICGG and present their 'Eco Accommodations' project. As part of the competition, Akira and Dawa had the great opportunity to integrate with other students and form ‘world teams’ to work on global governance and rural revitalization. Dawa’s team developed an ‘Immersive Town’ project, which won the Most Valuable Project Competition. Their work will be shown to the local government of Chongming and submitted to the UN later this year. Congratulations!
